Byzantine 2.0
for Kaleidoscope 1.5-1.6
by Janet Parris
* Byzantine2.0 is an updated version of an elaborate color scheme for
Kaleidoscope 1.5 -1.6, created in a style reminiscent of the Byzantine era
incorporating the look of 24 karat gold, tourmaline, peridot, and sapphire
gemstones. It features accent colors, which few schemes use. It will not
work in the older Kaleidoscope 1.0 or 1.0.1 versions.
*To use it, just pop it into your color schemes folder and watch the
romance and grandeur of a former time come to life. Desktop textures
and extra resources have been added to this updated and tweaked version of
Byzantine, along with a default custom folder written in.
Please keep this Read Me with the scheme.
*If you don't know what Kaleidoscope is, it's the neatest program
(control panel) to come out for the Mac in many a moon. Visit Greg
Landweber's page and find out about it/download it if you have not
already done so.

*I would like to acknowledge Layne Karkruff, the ultimate designer,
for his help and encouragement. Be sure to visit his page at:

*Disclaimer: Byzantine2.0 has been developed and tested on a PowerMac
based upon a 1.5 -1.6 version. This scheme was designed for 256 colors.
Desktop textures' rights remain with their creators. I am charging only for
the original artwork in this scheme, copyright 1997 by Janet Snider Parris.
Please do not steal it.
*Shareware: Byzantine2.0 is part of a Kaleidoscope color scheme
package called Fancies 2.0, including Celtic Knot, Byzantine, and Stripes.
The package is shareware; the shareware fee is $5.00. I know that
does not seem like a fee worth bothering to send, but all the artwork
in these schemes is original and was done by hand, and it took many
hours. Please send your shareware fee, folks. Thanks in advance to
those who do. (Paying the fee registers you and entitles you to
future schemes in this series free, and goodies which will be available
only to registered users by email.)
*Where to send it: Please send $5.00 in cash, check, or money order to:

Make certain you include your email address for future freebies!
